Cheryl received a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from the University of Illinois and a Master of Arts and Legal Nurse Consulting from Eastern Illinois University.

Cheryl has a long history of community involvement. A former school board member for District 118, she also served on the board of the Danville Historic Preservation Commission, as a Daisy and Brownie Girl Scout leader, and as a parish nurse. 

Her current volunteer activities include Provena United Samaritans Medical Center Foundation HALO Project Women Aware Committee.  Cheryl is an officer with the Governor Bradford Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution and serves as vice-chairman in the state organization.

In the past, Cheryl served as scholarship chairman for the IFRW. She is president of the Vermilion County Republican Women’s Club.
